Pouting Bear is very soft and cuddly and has an adorable vinyl pouting face. I think all you teddy bear lovers out there will be very tempted to just pick him up, give him a hug and let him know everything will be okay. My hope is that someone will see him, fall in love with him, and give him a good home!
I would like to tell you my teddy bear story of how "Teddy" came into my life and why he will always be with me. I spent many summer vacations with my nana who owned a sweet little shop called Candlelight & Flowers Gift Shop. One time, she took me with her to a buyer's show. As we were walking through aisle after aisle of various inventory, I suddenly spotted him... he was the cutest, most adorable, cuddliest, sweetest, most huggable teddy bear in the whole world! I guess I couldn't take my eyes off of him and so my Nana bought him for me, but under one condition. She made me promise I would take very good care of him.
Well, I did take very good care of Teddy. All through childhood, high school, college and now marriage. Teddy has been with me every step of the way. Now I realize that may sound a little bit crazy but I like a little "crazy" - its fun!
I have other collectible bears in my house as well but none are quite as special as Teddy. My nana passed on when my second son was born so now this bear holds an even more important place in my heart. I think its my way of keeping her close. I like to think she's up in heaven chuckling to herself over my attachment to this bear that started so long ago. "I'm taking good care of Teddy Nana!"
If you have a special bear in your life or a special "bear" memory you would like to share, please post a comment here. I would love to hear about it. And meantime, be happy - life can be "beary" wonderful!!
Awwwwwh, that teddybear is absolutely adorable! I would keep him too! Unfortunately, I did not have a teddybear growing up but my brother did. I was always so jealous! LOL! I wish I had a picture of his bear to share. It was so cute! I sent you an e-mail. Hope that was ok.

I have a SwiftHeart carebear cousin that I recieved for my 2nd birthday. When I was 14 my mom and I were getting rid of a lot of the toys and junk that had accumulated in my play room (she was making room for a home office).
ReplyDeleteShe was pretty much making me get rid of everything, save for a few of the things that she could specifically remember my granparents (both deceased) gave me.
When we came to swiftheart, she put him in the trash despite my objections. I was quite sad for the rest of the day.
The next morning at breakfast, SwiftHeart was on the table waiting for me.
I still have him. I even took him to college and slept with him up until about six months ago when I got a puppy (didn't want the puppy to get ahold of him).
I'm so glad you got to keep him!
